Today, campers at The Shipley School traveled to Talen Energy Stadium for a private, all-access tour. Union Soccer Schools started off the day with a tour around the stadium, which included an inside look at the Press Box and Club Seats as well as the Players’ Locker Room, a mock Press Conference in the Union Press Room, a chance to sit in the Sons of Ben cheering section and a look at the USS Wall of Fame. Each division rounded out the morning on the sidelines of the Union’s training session, taking in an official practice of the Philadelphia Union.
One of Union Soccer Schools’ favorite traditions is our “cheer off.” During our trips to the stadium, each division has the chance to show off their spirit by performing creative chants in the Sons of Ben section of the stadium. An exciting competition was held between each division, with one impressive group as the victor! The winning division even had the chance to perform its winning cheer in front of our two Union players, John McCarthy and Derrick Jones, who came out to play with us!
