Homegrown Union Players Meet Local Campers

Jimmy McLaughlin is a homegrown Philadelphia Union player. He attended school at Great Valley High School, which coincidentally, is the location of Union Soccer Schools’ camp next week! After high school, Jimmy went through the “Path to PPL Park”, which entailed working his way up through Union Academy becoming only the second player to then become a player for Philadelphia Union. Jimmy was an awesome competitor as he played against our Union Soccer Schools campers today. He truly gave them someone to look up to.

Also from Pennsylvania is Andrew Wenger; a name all Union fans and campers recognize! Wenger is an extremely talented forward from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was selected number one overall in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, and is in his second season playing in Philadelphia. Union Soccer Schools campers enjoyed training and learning from this member of the starting XI at PPL Park today.

Both Union players served as great examples for our campers to look up to and show that you can achieve your dreams by working hard and believing in yourself.
