Union Soccer Schools was excited to welcome campers from the other side of the world at our Great Valley High School site!
Olivia, Emily and Ethan came all the way from their home country of China to spend a week as campers at Union Soccer Schools. The 7, 11 and 13-year-olds have been playing soccer for as long as they can remember and jumped at the opportunity to participate in the elite summer camp. “We heard about the camp from a family friend who lives in the United States and were thrilled to come during our month-long vacation,” Emily said.
Olivia’s favorite part about her week of camp was the trip to the park. “Being able to play with the Union players was an experience I’ll never forget,” she said. Ethan said he also loved playing short-sided games with the players but also had a blast during the shooting drills and games throughout the week. “It’s been a really fun camp and everyone has been great. I’m really happy to be here,” Ethan said.
“Having international players at Union Soccer Schools not only speaks to the growing recognition of the Union brand but is also a unique experience for other campers,” said David Knox, Union Soccer Schools’ Field Manager. “Interacting and playing with players who live and learn in another country broadens not only their soccer IQ but also crosses cultural and geographical boundaries.”
The three siblings said they had a great time this week and hope to come back next year!
