Campers had the opportunity to play with some of the most talented and beloved players on Union yesterday! Each Union player possesses their own unique skills and expertise which they brought to the field to teach Union Soccer Schools. Le Toux entered the 2015 season as the franchise leader in Goals (39) and assists (38). He was named an MLS All-Star in 2010 he also earned back to back MLS Fair Play Awards in 2010 and 2011. Wenger is also a Union forward, who’s expertise is finishing. The Lancaster born Wenger reached career highs in both goals (6) and assists (4) in 2014 with the Union. Wenger stressed to our campers the importance of developing both feet so you have the ability to finish on your dominant and non-dominant foot. On the other hand, Edu is Union’s most experienced defender. He has a vast amount of international background playing in the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2010 World Cup, and 2011 Gold Cup as a back. From his international experience, Edu showed campers defensive techniques to implement in their game in order to be successful. Nothing could be more inspiring then meeting a World Class player who has represented the United States in the most prestigious international tournaments! Meeting the some of the most skilled and famous Union players was an absolute honor for our campers. Memories of playing with the most distinguished soccer players will stay with campers for the rest of their lives. It will be a continual source of inspiration as campers try to advance in their soccer careers. Everyone starts somewhere. With hard work and inspiration any dream can be achieved!
